Yente Lottman
Yente Lottman (2001) werd geboren in Amsterdam en begon op vierjarige leeftijd met vioollessen bij Kerstin Hoelen. Na twee jaar vervolgde zij haar lessen bij Julia Veerling en Jeroen de Groot. In 2017 werd Yente aangenomen op de Sweelinck academie in Amsterdam. Daar volgt zij nu lessen bij Sarah Kapustin en Emma Breedveld. Sinds 2020 studeert Yente bij Maria Milstein aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2018 won zij het Britten vioolconcours. Ook in 2018 behaalde zij de tweede prijs en de publieksprijs bij de regionale finale van het Prinses Christina Concours. In 2019 behaalde zij bij hetzelfde concours een 1e prijs.
Yente heeft mogen soleren met o.a. het Britten Jeugd Strijkorkest, het Monward Consort en Symfonie Orkest Con Brio. Sinds 2018 vormt zij een duo met Sasha Witteveen (contrabas). Samen hebben zij mogen optreden op festival Wonderfeel. Ook speelde Yente in verschillende orkesten, zoals het Nederlands Jeugd Strijkorkest, het JeugdOrkest Nederland en het AYPhil.
Yente Lottman (2001) was born in Amsterdam, into a family of professional musicians. She began playing the violin at the age of four. In 2017 she got accepted into the young talent class of the Conservatory of Amsterdam where she studied with Sarah Kapustin. Since 2020 Yente studies with Maria Milstein at the conservatory of Amsterdam. In 2018 Yente won the Dutch Britten violin Competition. And in 2019 she won the first prize in the regional finals of the Prinses Christina Competition. As a soloist Yente has played with several (youth) orchestras in the Netherlands, e.g. the Britten Youth String Orchestra, the Monward Consort and symphony orchestra Con Brio. As a chamber musician she formed a duo together with double bass player Sasha Witteveen. In 2018 they were invited to play at festival Wonderfeel in Hilversum. In 2019 Yente went on tour through America and Canada with two other laureates of the Prinses Christina Concours. They played concerts in San Francisco and Los Angeles, among others. Yente also participated in several youth orchestras in the Netherlands such as the Youth Orchestra Netherlands and the Dutch Youth String Orchestra.
